Last updated:5 September 2023
The north Bowen basin region investigated in the TEGI program is a subset of the Bowen Basin located in central-eastern Queensland. The north Bowen basin region ranges in depth from the modern ground surface to over 11,500 m deep and has an area of approximately 125,000 km2. The north Bowen Basin contains sedimentary rocks spanning the early Permian to middle Triassic periods.
The TEGI data and information repository contains a compilation of current geological, energy, carbon capture and storage, groundwater, minerals and environmental information for the north Bowen Basin. GIS data is available to download for analysis where available. A short guide is provided with each GIS dataset to explain the nature and application of the data. Reports outline the methodology used for environmental assessments in the TEGI Program.
