Tourist Maps

Our tourist maps contain extensive information for both the casual visitor and inquisitive explorer. Most include details of tourist facilities, appropriate warnings for outback travellers, road distances and travelling times, national parks and reserves as well as some descriptions of major tourist attractions.

Australia Tourist Map
This map includes descriptive and historical detail on significant natural and man-made tourist features, tables of travelling times by air, road and rail between selected major centres, temperature ranges, population numbers and availability of services and facilities.

ACT Region Map
This latest edition of the Canberra 1:100 000 scale map not only provides emergency service workers with critical information to help safeguard the community, but it also provides the user with a good overview of the ACT and surrounding region.

Northern Australia Tourist Map
This attractive map provides visitors to Australia's top end with all the information required to navigate around Northern Australia. From National Parks to caravan parks and from ranger stations to petrol stations, this map identifies all the sites to see and locates the important facilities for travellers.

Kakadu National Park
This large topographic map features the full 20 000 square kilometres of the Kakadu National Park as well as the surrounding area. At a scale of 1:250 000, the map includes contours at 50m intervals, highlighted information centres and park ranger stations, walking tracks, lookouts, vegetation density and the access, surface and 4WD status of roads and tracks.

Watarrka National Park
This map contains natural and constructed features including road infrastructure, foot tracks, hydrography, vegetation, contours (interval 20m), localities and some administrative boundaries. The reverse side of the map depicts the same area using a satellite image with an overlay of major roads, tourist attractions, facilities and an inset of Kings Canyon.

Carnarvon National Park
This map depicts the complete National Park at 1:250 000 scale (200 kilometres east to west and 93 kilometres north to south) and an enlargement of the Mount Moffatt and Carnarvon Gorge Section at 1:100 000 scale (55 kilometres east to west and 26 kilometres north to south).

Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park
This map contains natural and constructed features including roads, foot tracks, hydrography, vegetation, contours (interval 20m), localities and some administrative boundaries. The reverse side of the map depicts the same area using a satellite image with an overlay of major roads, foot tracks, tourism features and facilities as well as insets featuring Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Yulara. This is map 3 of Australia's Red Centre National Landscapes series.

West MacDonnell Ranges, Northern Territory
Two 1:100 000 scale topographic maps covering the West MacDonnell Ranges in the Northern Territory. Map 1 features the western section and Map 2 features the eastern section of the Ranges. Satellite images are also contained on the back of the maps.

Karijini National Park
At this scale 1cm on the map represents 1km on the ground. Each map covers a minimum area of 0.5 degrees longitude by 0.5 degrees latitude or about 54 kilometres by 54 kilometres. The contour interval is 20 metres. Many maps are supplemented by hill shading.
